The gist of the Complaint : Translated from Marathi to English on best effort basis.
The Complainant, aged 35yrs, resides with family at the above-mentioned address since 7yrs.
The Complainant have a jewelry shop “Lakshmi Jewellers” at Shop No. 23/24, 100C Fancy Market, Moreland Road, Opposite Jhula Maidan, Agripada, Byculla (W), Mumbai. , which he have been doing since last 5 years at such place along with his relative Mr. Bhimaram Chunilal Prajapat Bhai , who has been doing such work for 40 years.
Accused namely, Mr Amit Ashok Bhati, age 30 years, residing at Moreland Road, Agripada, Byculla (W), Mumbai , have worked with “RB Jewellers” for 5 to 6 years, and he is currently in self business of selling nose pins to jewelers shops in the area. The Complainant know Amit as he also comes to sell nose pins at his above mentioned shop.
On 25/08/2022, Amit around 05:00pm, came to complainant’s shop and asked for some gold bangles to show the samples to an acquaintance( of him) who lives next door saying that he wants to make gold bangles for a wedding ceremony. As the Complainant know Amit Bhati and trusted him, the Complainant handed over 8 bangles weighing 105 grams of different designs to Amit Bhati. The accused Amit took the said gold bracelets to a customer he knew and said that he would bring them back to tomorrow. Next day on 26.08 2022, the Complainant called him on his mobile number 9892024244 and the said phone was found as switched off, the Complainant tried calling Amit Bhati repeatedly.
After that, when the Complainant inquired about Amit Bhati, he came to know that Amit Bhati had bought 6 gold bangles weighing 75.5 grams from Mr. Thanaram Prajapati of Kiran Jewellers, on 25/08/2022.
After waiting for Amit Bhati for two days, the Complainant and Shri Thanaram Prajapati went to his residence , enquired with his wife Meenakshi Mob- 7738527929, the Complainant then found that he had not come home for the last 10 to 15 days.
the Complainant tried calling Amit Bhati repeatedly but his phone was going off. Therefore, the Complainant is convinced that Mr. Amit Bhati has cheated him and Mr. Thanaram Prajapati by embezzling 14 bangles of 180.5 grams of gold given in trust. So they have a legal complaint against Shri Amit Bhati. My stolen property-

Police Registered the case and took up the investigation The case is being investigated by the Police officer namely Mr. Yogendra Pache.
The Complainant’s statement was recorded in Marathi ( gave copy of the same to him) and it was explained to him in Hindi and he confirmed the same.
