Accused:   unknown person(s’)

The gist of the Complaint : Translated from Marathi to English on best effort basis.

The Complainant, aged 39, resides at the above mentioned address since birth, with his family, i.e with her husband, daughter Kiara age 10yrs and her father and mother- in- law.  The Complainant’s husband owns a garmet business, out of his income the  livelihood is being earned for the family.

The Complainant goes for Ganapati Visarjan every year to have darshan of Raja of Lalbagh on the day of immersion , this year immersion was on Friday, 09/09/2022.  Accordingly, at 20.15 pm that day, the Complainant , her husband and daughter, went to N.M. Joshi marg on motorcycle.  They saw the procession of Raja of Lalbagh coming from the side of S Bridge near Byculla Railway Station,  so her husband parked the motorbike on the west side road in front of the station , and proceeded on foot around 20.50 hrs to have darshan of Raja of Lalbagh. When in front of HDFC Bank ATM Centre, at N M Joshi Marg , the Ganpati procession was halted . At that time The Complainant was wearing a black sling bag on her shoulder and kept her mobile phone in it.  The Sling bag had magnet buttons attached  for easy opening and closing.  They made their way through the crowd and reached the Ganapati of Raja of Lalbagh. There was a lot of crowd to have darshan there.

They Got very close to Ganapati and requested a worker standing on Ganapati’s trolley to lift Complainant’s daughter to place her head at the feet of the King of Lalbagh. So he took their daughter and gave her back after giving darshan of Ganapati. It was very crowded at that time. The Complainant took her daughter and somehow managed to get out through the crowd and returned to the place where they had parked the motorbike at approximately 21.10. Soon her husband also came there and told the Complainant that he was calling her on her mobile phone but the Complainant did not pick up the call. At that time, when The Complainant went to remove the mobile from her sling bag, she saw that the magnet button of her sling bug was open and the mobile phone was not in the bag. Therefore, to trace the mobile, Complainant’s husband again called on her mobile number, the phone rang two to three times and after that the phone switched off signaling. the Complainant was then convinced that some unknown person(s’) had stolen his mobile phone of the following description

As the road was very crowded that day, the Complainant left for home and as the Complainant’s mother- in- law was admitted to the hospital, she did not got time to file a complaint, so today , complainant have came to the police station to file a complaint and confirmed that she will identify the mobile phone of above description if shown back to her .
