The gist of the Complaint : Translated from Marathi to English on best effort basis.
The Complainant, aged 30 yrs, resides at the above mentioned address with his mother Sonal Shah Age- 54 Years, Wife Sachi Shah Age- 29 The Complainant’s carries small business and his wife is teacher at private school , on such income livelihood is being earned for family.
On 18/006/2022 , around 3.40 pm, the complainant took his motor scooter no. (MH 01 DW 2204) , who is also accompanied on the back of a motor scooter by his mother, they both went to Chinchpokli to collect the idol accessories . Around 04:00 in the evening, when the complainant reached the signal at Khada parsi junction the signal was red, when the signal turned green, the complainant started his scooter in the direction of Clare Road, Nagpada, when the chocolate like colored truck coming behind their scooter at a high speed and came to overtake on right side of the scooter , and hit the scooter while passing by. The impact caused the complainant and his mother to fall down on the ground with the scooty, due to which the complainant’s right arm got scratched near the elbow and his mother was hit on the shoulder , and her right ribs were broken. The said truck fled at high speed along JJ Road. When the complainant tried capturing registration number of the said truck, it was seen as (MH 46 BB 6585). After that, the complainant’s mother was taken to the side of the road to drink water and treated at Bhatia Hospital, Tardeo , Mumbai on 18/0/2022 at 04.20 in the evening. On 19/6/2022 at approximately 01.00 hrs. Doctors declared the complainant’s mother dead during the treatment. Therefore the complainant have come to the police station to file a complaint against the said truck driver for reckless driving which caused death of his mother.
The Complainant’s statement was recorded in Marathi and it was explained to him in Hindi and he confirmed the same.
