The gist of the Complaint : Translated from Marathi to English on best effort basis.
The Complainant, aged 30 yrs, resides at the above mentioned address since the 22 yrs with husband Nasir Shaikh aged 45 years, my mother- in- law Jaitubi and my four children. The Complainant do housework and her husband runs a business of selling clothes, to earn livelihood from it.
The Complainant’s mother Khairunnisa Jabbar Sheikh aged 60 years, brother Majid Sheikh aged 35 years and Majid’s wife Asma are staying in building number 4th and 5th in same locality. The Complainant’s brother Majid does not do any work and is also addicted to drinking alcohol. For the past few years, the complainant has been supporting Majid with the money she earns from whatever work she gets. On 26/08/2022 the complainant went to daily work as usual, around 02.30 PM her daughter Namina Shaikh came to her work place and said that “Majid stabbed Nani in our house”. After that the complainant went to Nair Hospital, Mumbai and inquired her mother. The accused was demanding money for days. As Majid was angry that Complainant’s mother Khairunnisa refused to pay , as she had no money, Majid abused her and cut her with a knife used in the house and injured her on the upper part of her right thigh. The Complainant’s daughter Nagra Sheikh admitted her to Nair Hospital, Mumbai for treatment as she started bleeding from her thigh. The Complainant’s mother is not talking at present, she, on behalf of her mother, came to the police station to file a complaint against Majid Jabbar Shaikh, who injured her with a knife.
The Complainant, therefore, came to file a complaint at the police station against accused for beating and injuring her mother
Police Registered the case and took up the investigation The case is being investigated by the Police officer namely Mr. Yogendra Pache.
The Complainant’s statement was recorded in Marathi ( gave copy of the same to him) and it was explained to him in Hindi and he confirmed the same.
