The gist of the Complaint: Translated from Marathi to English on best effort basis.
The Complainant, aged 27, resides at the above-mentioned address for 6 months with his brother Akhilesh Gupta- age 33 years. The Complainant runs a small cloth trading shop (Anil Cloths) at Topiwala Lane, BMC Hospital, Goregaon West, Mumbai. Out of the said business earnings, his family is supported by the income from it. The Complainant possesses a white color Maruti Swift car, bearing RTO no. GJ-01 RK-9588 (CAR) since last 01 year. The said car is owned by the Complainant’s Friend Mr. Amit Panchal, age 38 Years, Profession- Business, Resident of Thakur Complex, Kandivali East, Mumbai.
The Complainant generally reaches at the abovementioned clothing shop to open the same at around 10.00 am., then his brother Akhilesh reaches there at around 10.30 am, and they keep it open till 10.30 pm. After closing the shop, The Complainant & his brother both start their return journey home.
On 17/01/2023, The Complainant’s brother Akhilesh, for the purpose of buying goods (cloth) had withdrawn cash Rs. 35000/- from the bank and kept it at home (in a sofa bed). Thinking that in a couple of days, shopping will be done, the money was kept at home.
On 19/01/2023 at 09:30 am shop was opened as usual, and brother Akhilesh took came to the shop at 11:00 with food to eat. On that day at around 10:00 pm or 10:30 pm, the complainant said to his brother to go home alone, and that he will reach after closing the shop at 11.30 pm.
When Complainant’s brother reached home at about 11:30 pm, he found that the house entry door lock has been broken, and also, he saw the bed, and clothes lying in disarray. The Complainant’s brother immediately called him and told him about the situation. The Complainant immediately went home and checked the cash amount of Rs 35,000/- in the sofa bed but could he not find it. After that, the complainant & his brother searched around the house but could not find the money.
Therefore, the complainant came to the police station to file a complaint against the unknown thief, describing the stolen property as 70 notes of Rs 500 in Indian currency i.e. Rs 35,000/- in total.
Police Registered the case and took up the investigation The case is being investigated by the Police officer namely Mr. Pravin Rane.
The Complainant’s statement was recorded in Marathi, and it was explained to him in Hindi, and he confirmed the veracity of the same.
