The gist of the Complaint: Translated from Marathi to English on best effort basis.
The Complainant, aged 32, resides at the address as mentioned above, who joined the Mumbai Police department in 2011 as Sepoy, and is presently serving general duty at Samta Nagar, Kandivali Police Station since 2018.
The Complainant appeared at the police station for day duty on 20/01/2023 at 9.00 AM. around 6:35 PM in the evening while patrolling along with P.S.I. Mr. Shinde, Sepoy Mr. Sapkale at Pathan chawl Nala corner, Hanuman Nagar, Kandivali East Mumbai, it was observed that the accused was dangerously using a Gas stove on a footpath having crowd & traffic, which is a public place, hence endangering the safety of himself and the people by running a stall for making & selling Bhurji & Chicken fry items. Accordingly, two Panchas (Witnesses) were called upon before taking any action, and then made a detailed panchnama of the said incident before them.
At the given address, it was observed that on a kerosene stove is used for Bhurji & Chicken fry items-making process at the small stall, and people are seen standing around them buying and eating them. On asking the name and address of Accused who was selling the said Bhurji & Chicken fry items, he gave his name, and address as above, and on asking him about the license, Accused said that he does not have any kind of license.
Hence for endangering the safety of himself and the passerby, by running the stall for making food with the stove, Police Registered the case and took up the investigation.
The Complainant’s statement was recorded in Marathi and it was explained to him, also copy of the same was handed over to him sand he confirmed the veracity same.
