The gist of the Complaint: Translated from Marathi to English on best effort basis.

The Complainant, aged 39 years, resides at the above-mentioned address, who joined Mumbai Police department on 12/09/2012, and is presently serving at Samta Nagar Police Station since November 2018 in Crime Detection Unit.     

The Complainant appeared at the police station for Night duty on 24/01/2023 at 9.00 PM.  From 11.00 pm on 24th January 2023 to 2:00 AM of 25th January, 2023, as per senior officers’ instruction, operation all out were organized, the complainant left for patrolling police station area along with A.P.I. Ubale, Naik 061471/Akbar, Sepoy 111693/Desai. During the patrol around 11.45 pm., the accused was seen hiding behind a parked rickshaw near Kala patthar Garden, Poisar Kandivali East, Mumbai.  The squad cornered him and ask about his name and whereabouts, to which he gave above-mentioned details. Thereafter the accused was asked about what he is doing at the given spot, he did not give a satisfactory answer. Therefore, the accused was arrested on the spot, and after two PANCHA were called to the spot, his body search was conducted before the Pancha. In the Accused person’s body search a green-handled screwdriver, and an Exo-blade was found which were hidden behind waist. When he was asked about the same, he did not give a satisfactory answer, immediately the accused was taken into custody, seized weapons/articles found, and they brought to the police station. The seized weapons are described as follows-

1) One Green Handled Screwdriver,

2) One Exoblade, Identified as Atmaram Ravidranath Chaudhari,

The complainant have filed a legal complaint against him on behalf of the government, as the accused suspected to be carrying said articles with intent to commit a cognizable offense or burglary.  

Police Registered the case and took up the investigation.

The Complainant’s statement was recorded in Marathi and it was explained to him in Hindi, also copy of the same handed over to him and he confirmed the same.
