The gist of the Complaint: Translated from Marathi to English on best effort basis.

The Complainant (Nayak no-141483), aged 30, resides at the above-mentioned address since 1 year with his family, who joined the Mumbai Police department on 08/10/2014, and is presently serving at Samta Nagar Police Station since 05/01/2023 in general duty.

The Complainant appeared at the police station for day duty on 25/01/2023 at 4.00 PM.  to Attend the Republic Day parade practice, around 6:00 PM in the evening, the complainant left for patrol beat no-3 along with S.P.I Rane, P.I. Ingle, A.P.I. Bhagat, P.S.I Shirke, PSI Masal, Hawaldar 8601/Patil, Sepoy 093018/ Patil, Sepoy 140404/Sawant,  and also joined by Crime detection Squad Hawaldar 14898/Kolase, Sepoy 110223/ Gaikwad, Sepoy 113505/Ahiwale, within police station limits at Vadar pada Road no. 02, Hanuman Nagar, Kandivali (e), At 6:30 PM, a message received that 02 persons were walking around with a sword near Banarasi Hotel, Ambedkar Chawl, squad immediately arrived at said place and started searching for the said persons as per message received, there the accused was seen running & screaming loudly holding an iron rod in his hand. It was also noted that seeing the accused in such a condition, the surrounding residents closed the doors of their houses in fear. At that time, when the squad chased him, the accused saw it and started running away. The squad chased the accused and detained him at Sukhvardan Society, near Raghuveer School, Ambedkar Road, Narsipada, Kandivali (e).  As the accused seemed as hiding something, two individuals were immediately called as Panch (Witness). Thereafter, the police squad searched the body of the accused before PANCHAS (Witnesses), an iron Sickle/Koyta of the following description was found inside his pant waist side’ .

  1. iron sickle/ Koyta with a total length of approximately 14 inches, an iron handle length of 5 inches, blade length of 09 inches, blade width of 3 inches.  approx. of Rs. 300/-

When the accused was asked his name and address, he gave the above details. The said Sickle was seized and the accused was brought to the police station. Therefore, the complainant has a legal complaint on behalf of Govt. against the accused for violating the order of the Commissioner of Police, Mumbai, as to prohibit the possession of deadly weapon.

The Complainant’s statement was recorded in Marathi and it was explained to him, also copy of the same was handed over to him and he confirmed the same.
